Hello everyone out there in there cyberland, my name is Alina. The most important thing you must know about me is that I am a people person with the drive to save the world. Ever since I can remember I have always wished I was able to shield and protect others from every type of harm that is out there. Yet, after high school I pursued a career as a hairstylist. While working in a salon, I decided I wanted to actually help people, so I went to school to become a certified Massage Therapist. I worked in salons until I got a job in behavioral health insurance as an Intake Representative. From this point, I realized that I could do so much more to help people, although, I was stopped when I found out I was pregnant with my oldest child.
After I had my first child, I went back to working in a salon briefly, then back to my Intake position. My daughter became ill and was not able to continue at her daycare while sick, so I was taken out of work and never returned. During that time, I stayed home with my daughter and took care of the house, but I wanted more. When my daughter was about two, we found out we were going to have another baby. So we did what we had to do, moving twice during my second pregnancy, leaving me not wanting to start something I couldn’t finish. Our second child was born in January, and I found out I was pregnant with our third the day before Father’s Day of that same year.
After our youngest was born and I was so busy with three young children that I hardly had time to even think, let alone start something else. Once our oldest started Kindergarten, I decided I wanted to go back to school and study psychology. For the last three years I have been a full-time student working on my bachelors in psychology. During this time, I have still been doing hair clients and massage clients part-time. Then in December of 2012 my cousin had noticed I was working out, trying to lose all my baby weight I gained, so she introduced me to her Beachbody Coach, Mindy.
I started my Beachbody journey in January 2013 with the challenge pack Les Mills Combat and chocolate shakeology. I was skeptical at first that the shakeology would be different from any other protein shakes I had tried, plus I was worried about the price and whether the program would be something I could do. Once I started the program, I fell in love with it and the shakeology. I noticed my energy was higher; I wasn’t as hungry as I normally was, and it helped to decrease the intensity of my anxiety. My only issue was that I couldn’t afford the shakeology monthly, and I feared becoming a coach because I thought I wouldn’t be able to make an impact in anyone else’s lives, as you already know, I just want to save everyone. Well, I cancelled my shakeology before my month was up and after that I continued to work out. I did workouts from an app on my phone and used multiple shakes from multiple different places as my shakeology “replacement” (I put that in quotes, because nothing can replace shakeology).
After about a year I really started to miss the challenge group environment, the shakeology, plus, I wanted to try other videos from Beachbody. So, I decided that I would save money from Christmas and my birthday to put towards FINALLY becoming a coach and jumping all in. On February 3, 2014 I placed my order for the 21 Day Fix challenge pack. I joined a challenge group held by my coach, Mindy (whose name you will hear a lot). I immediately fell in love, not only with the program, but with the group. The group was one of the most supportive I have ever been a part of. They were not only people that supported me, but they became friends. The team I became a part of when I became a coach, well, they are my family. There is nothing I wouldn’t do to help these people out.
My ultimate goal as a Beachbody coach is to help people to not only become physically fit, but to find their strength inside. I am hoping to help others in a lifestyle change. Your physical world around you won’t change until you change how you think, see things, and feel about yourself and everyone around you. I plan to incorporate my knowledge of psychology, spirituality, and now fitness together to be able to help people reach their ultimate happiness.
Thanks to the support of my amazing coach, Mindy, I was able to help 4 people in my first 3 weeks to begin their own journey with the 21 Day Fix. I can’t wait to see their results. Currently I am just about to finish my second week of the 21 Day Fix program and I’m down 2 lbs and lost a total of 11 inches. I still have one more week to go, and I can’t wait to post my before and after photos for everyone to see.
